THE SIXTH FLOOR MUSEUM

John F. Kennedy, the 35th president of the United States is believed to have been shot down from this exact building by a sniper. According to JFK library and museum he was hit twice, in the neck and in the head at around 12:30pm on November 22, 1963. He was urgently taken to Parkland Memorial Hospital only a few minutes down the street. However president Kennedy was pronounced dead shortly after at 1:00pm. In the images above we see the now John F. Kennedy museum that at the time was a book depository from where the shot that killed the president came from.  Down below is the picture of the famous presidential motorcade that president Kennedy was on when he was shot. The other pictures are of the museum currently how it exhibits a sniper rifle like the one that killed president Kennedy as well as how the room was set up when authorities went up a discovered the room. It was crazy to see this in person. To think that there are people out there that would go out of their way to harm another human being to the point of ending their life is crazy. It also amazes me how we are able to keep something like this open and available to the public as a time capsule in our history of such a tragic event.
